New Years eve party at the lock inn

Decadent and delicious, join us in the Cow Shed restaurant for a multi-course menu filled with delectable treats and dishes. Designed to please all tastes the exclusive event is aimed to give a fun, comfortable and relaxed welcome to the New Year. With live music performed by Arthur Jones throughout the evening and with a glass of bubbly to celebrate the chimes at midnight this is the perfect way to enjoy your evening.

Soup Course

A creamy, smooth lentil & sweet potato soup with fresh coconut. Served with assorted mini breads and local butter.

Fish Course

Scallops – Pan fried scallops wrapped in prosciutto ham, served on a buttered samphire bed with pea and mint puree. Sorbet Course A light and tasty pear sorbet. Perfect for preparing your pallet for whats to come!

Main Course

Beef Fillet – A beautiful fillet sourced from our own home reared British Beef herd. Cooked medium-rare, served with oxtail hash, stewed prunes and a rich Banks Bitter gravy.
Stuffed Trout – A responsibly sourced whole Rainbow trout pocketed and stuffed with chorizo, cherry tomato and spinach. Accompanied with dauphinoise potato and a tomato and garlic sauce.
Mushroom, Brie & red currant filo bundle – A creamy wild mushroom, brie and red currant filling wrapped in delicate filo pastry with a tarragon sauce. Served with garlic & rosemary roasted new potatoes and a dressed watercress salad.

Dessert Course

Tiramisu – A boozy Italian classic. Made with Lambs rum and Gails homemade biscotti biscuits.
Decadent Chocolate Brownie – A fish, velvety dark chocolate brownie topped with Sicilian pistachio gelato, fresh berries and chocolate sauce.
Sweetened Cranberry Bread & Butter Pudding – A moist bread & butter pudding with sweetened cranberries and smothered with a honey & whisky sauce.

Cheese Course

A selection of cheese to finish your meal of in style. Accompanied with crackers, grapes and our homemade caramelised onion chutney.
