It’s Christmas menu time! It’s that most wonderful time of the year again and Christmas at The Lock Inn, Wolverley is set to be better than ever. We’ve got plenty of delicious freshly prepared, home cooked and of course locally sourced dishes ready to tickle your taste buds and really help you enjoy this year’s festive season!

Starters

 

Creamy Cauliflower & Leek Soup – £3.95

Lovely cauliflower & leek soup topped with a blue cheese toasted crouton.

 

Ham hock & Pea Terrine – £4.50

Slow cooked ham hock, shredded & pressed with sweet garden peas, seasoning & herbs.

Served with a pea & mint puree & a spiced winter chutney.

 

Crispy Teriyaki Beef Strips – £4.95

Tender strips of lean steak, flash fried for a crispy coating & smothered with a homemade sticky teriyaki sauce.

 

Salmon & Dill Goujons – £5.50

Salmon fillet with fresh dill, coated in breadcrumbs & lightly fried. Served with a mixed leaf salad & homemade tartare sauce.

 

Wild Mushroom, Brie & Redcurrant Filo Parcel – £5.95

Creamy brie, wild mushrooms & juicy redcurrants encased in a flaky filo bundle.

Accompanied with mixed leaf salad & a cranberry & orange sauce.

A traditional turkey roast with all the trimmings & accompanied with a homemade tarragon & poached cider apple stuffing.

Prime topside taken from our own home reared Bishop’s beef served with a Yorkshire pudding & all the trimmings.

 

Roasted Parsnip & Chestnut En Croute – £9.95

Honey roasted parsnips & chestnuts wrapped in a buttery puff pastry.

Served with a honey & mustard sauce, seasonal vegetables & chunky chips.

 

Roast Fillet of Seabass – £12.95

Fresh seabass fillet seasoned & roasted. Served with a parsnip puree, watercress & caramelised garlic potatoes.

 

Maple Glazed Pork Belly – £13.95

Succulent pork belly slow cooked with a maple glaze, served on a bed of creamy celeriac mash, root vegetables & onion gravy.

 

Chicken & Red Wine Casserole – £7.95

Tender chunks of chicken cooked with vegetables, fresh herbs & a full bodied red wine.

Finished with cheese & chive dumplings & thick crusty bread.

 

Butternut Squash Nut Roast with Port & Orange Gravy – £11.95

A butternut squash boat stuffed with a mixture of onions, nuts, pumpkin seeds, seasonal herbs & spices.

Roasted & served with a tasty port & orange gravy, vegetables & sweet potato mash.

A comforting, indulgent way to end your meal. A crumbling short crust base filled with sweet treacle.
